Brookville, PA – If you drive along Route 36 near Brookville, expect delays this week.
Due to a concrete repair project, Route 36 will be just one lane in each direction, plus a center turning lane.
This affects from where the road meets the Route 28/Route 322 intersection until just north of the Brookville Borough and Rose Township line.
If your commute uses Route 36, either leave early to make up for traffic delays or consider taking another route.
The concrete repairs are part of a $2.7 million project that is expected to be completed in October. Work on the project includes patching, paving, drainage, and removal or replacement of lighting.
Construction should only last until the end of this week, but in case of inclement weather, the construction will have to happen next week.
Motorists should slow down and use caution in work zones, as well as obey flaggers and other traffic control devices. Expect congestion and delays in the project area. Fines are doubled for violations in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the workers.
