Clearfield, PA – The old PennDOT building in Clearfield was sold to a company that plans on turning the area into a retail plaza.

Robert Greenland purchased the property when PennDOT moved to a new building in the Industrial Park.

Because the area is near the Graystone Apartments where many senior citizens live, Greenland says he wants to create a space within walking distance where those residents could go to eat and shop.

The location, which is tentatively named The Daisy Place, is currently in the demolition and design stage of the project.

The company says they are still looking for businesses who would want to be a part of the plaza.
