Punxsutawney, PA – A Punxsutawney woman is facing felony fraud charges after receiving thousands of dollars of food stamps and medical benefits that she was no longer eligible for.
28-year-old Kayla Blystone reportedly failed to tell the Department of Human Services that her husband got a job, which changed the amount of assistance they could get.
Between December of 2016 and June of 2017, Blystone received an extra $1,132 in SNAP (food stamp) benefits and $2,969 in medical assistance benefits.
Blystone’s preliminary hearing on the felony charges is scheduled for May 3.
