DuBois, PA – Due to the overwhelming response by students and community members, the DuBois High School is extending its collection drive for Goodwill.
Although it was supposed to end last week, you can now drop off donations until this Thursday.
It’s a way of doing some spring cleaning while also helping out the community. The DuBois High School holds a Goodwill Donation Drive Challenge each year.
Students are asked to bring in their gently used clothing. To add to the excitement of the event, each homeroom will be competing against each other to bring in the most pounds of donated clothing.
This event is open to the community as well! If you are interested in donating, you can send your donation to school with a high school student or when you see a Goodwill truck parked by the high school sign, you can stop by and drop off your donation. Donations will be accepted at the school until this Thursday.
Goodwill uses items that are donated to sell in their retail stores and online. The money that is made there is used for job training programs for people with disabilities and other community programs.
