Pennsylvania – Even though it’s technically spring, with cold temperatures still in the forecast, Pennsylvania is extending the deadline for program that helps low-income Pennsylvanians keep warm.
You can now apply for the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (also known as LIHEAP) until April 13.
To apply, you’ll need the name of everyone in your household, their dates of birth, social security numbers, proof of income for all household members, and a recent heating bill.
Who qualifies for LIHEAP?
Household size vs Maximum annual income limit
1 person – $18,090
2 people – $24,360
3 people – $30,630
4 people – $36,900
5 people – $43,170
6 people – $49,440
If you or someone you know needs help with heating costs this winter, visit the LIHEAP site and fill out an application.
You can also apply by mail, in person at any County Assistance Offices, or by calling 1-866-857-7095.
