Sandy Township, PA – Investigators still aren’t naming a cause for the fire that nearly took the lives of three dogs at a home in Sandy Township earlier this week.

No people were inside or injured whenever the home along Walls Road caught fire, but firefighters found three dogs in a bedroom, two of which were unconscious.

Fire crews were able to bring the dogs outside and give them oxygen. All of them survived.

Between the Sandy Township Fire Company No. 1 and the Sykesville Volunteer Fire Department, the flames were quickly extinguished on Monday, but the house had already been severely damaged.

The fire marshal is still investigating.
