DuBois, PA – Boxers are getting ready to duke it out for a great cause! Saturday is the Golden Gloves boxing tournament at the DuBois Country Club, benefitting the WPAL Boxing and Fitness Center.

Some of the boxers trained at the WPAL Fitness Center in DuBois, and the proceeds will go to the gym.
The WPAL Fitness Center is free for kids under 18 and is one way of keeping the fights off the streets and into the ring.
They also offer free memberships for law enforcement, which helps the kids build some positive relationships with the police. You can check out the WPAL Boxing and Fitness Center at 37 East Long Avenue in DuBois.

This year’s event will feature several local prospects who have been training at the WPAL Fitness Center on East Long Avenue. Landen Buchanan, Camille Hanzely, and Mason Warren are all training hard everyday for their chance to compete.
In addition to local competitors, the event will host young talent from across western and central Pennsylvania.
Tickets are $30 for general admission. Doors open for VIP at 6:30 on Saturday, and boxing will begin at 7:30.
