Sandy Township, PA – Sandy Township police have been busy with multitude of unusual reports.
On Monday, a Sykesville Street Extension resident found that a woman was sleeping under a tree in his backyard. Police found that it was a 31-year-old woman who said she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend and had nowhere to go. Officers handled the situation without incident.
Employees of Triangle Springs say that someone jumped over their fence, damaged an awning, and sprayed their fire extinguisher, causing a mess.
On Tuesday, Sandy Township Police were in the middle of investigating an area on Breck Road where people had been dumping trash whenever they found two people who were naked in a vehicle. The 42-year-old DuBois woman and 36-year-old Brockway man were told to put on some clothing and leave.
Also on Tuesday, a man walked into the DuBois Walmart in a hospital gown and socks, with what appeared to be an IV in his arm. He was attempting to cash a check at the service desk.
Sandy Township Police found that it was a 19-year-old man with autism who had left Penn Highlands Clearfield, taken his grandmother’s vehicle, and had driven to DuBois. He was taken back to the hospital for evaluation.
