Brookville, PA – A new Pennsylvania state historical marker has finally been approved for Brookville Borough.
According to Austin Fields of the Jefferson County History Center, the marker took three years to get approved through the PA Historical and Museum Commission.
Reporter John Pozza has more.
It honors the late Dr. James McKnight of Brookville for his medical research and influence as a PA State Senator.
It will be placed sometime this summer next to the McKnight Building on Main Street in Brookville’s downtown historic district. The McKnight Building currently houses Brookville’s Courthouse Grille.
