DuBois, PA – A DuBois woman pleaded guilty recently to selling meth and having drugs inside of the Clearfield County Jail.
26-year-old Brittany Hibbard was sentenced to nine months to nearly two years in jail, plus two years of probation. She was also fined $650 in addition to court costs. She has been ordered to complete a drug and alcohol program.
Hibbard reportedly sold meth to an undercover agent in August. Investigators found text messages about selling “ice cream,” a code word for methamphetamine, and she arranged to exchange two grams of meth for $300.
The pair made the exchange near her home on Jared Street, less than half a block from a school bus stop where students were dropped off just a few minutes later.
In a second case, Hibbard was searched while she was being housed at the county jail. They found that she had methamphetamine, amphetamine, and dextroamphetamine.
Police also searched Hibbard’s home and eventually arrested her boyfriend 33-year-old Andrew Glover, for admitting to helping her sell marijuana. He pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy of possession with intent to deliver. He was sentenced in December to 90 days to a year in jail, plus six months of probation.
