Reynoldsville, PA – A Reynoldsville man is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing and then forging a check.

54-year-old Donald Emerson is accused of taking a check from another’s man’s home while he was visiting early in the morning on March 5.

Police say Emerson wrote the check out for $150, then tried to cash it later that day at a bank in Reynoldsville.

The bank teller suspected that something wasn’t right, so she contacted the rightful owner of the check.

Emerson faces felony charges of forgery by altering writing, plus a misdemeanor for theft by unlawful taking. He’s currently awaiting a preliminary hearing.
