Brockway, PA – Brockway Superintendent Dan Hawkins will retire at the end of the school year. Hawkins informed the school board in a prepared statement Tuesday night.

He was superintendent for 9 years.

Hawkins is especially proud of the number of advanced placement courses and college dual enrollment courses the school offers. These courses are free to the students thanks to the Brockway School and Community Foundation, which Hawkins helped start.

He has been in education for 37 years.  Hawkins said he is proud of the students, the staff, and the board at Brockway.  While he loves his job, it was time to move on.
