Curwensville, PA – The Snappy’s Convenience Store in Curwensville will not get a license to be able to sell beer.

Curwensville Borough Council asked for the public’s opinion on whether a liquor license should be transferred to the store. Dozens of people showed up, including business owners who said that having another store that could sell beer would detract from their sales.

The council voted 4-2 in favor of denying the liquor license transfer. Council members say that they would rather see more industry and retail, not another license to sell beer.
