Sigel, PA – A Jefferson County man is facing drug charges after police caught him in a meth bust.

43-year-old Frederick Newman of Sigel allegedly sold $200 of methamphetamine to an undercover officer on Feb. 9.

When the officer asked for more, he reportedly sold the man another $500 worth of meth on Feb. 11.

While the officer was still undercover, Newman unknowingly told him much more information that could eventually lead to more arrests in the area.

Newman is facing felony charges for the manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Unable to post $70,000 bail, he remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail. Newman’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 15.
