Clearfield and Indiana Counties, PA – Even more local schools were briefly on lockdown on Wednesday after students made violent threats.

Curwensville Area School District and Moshannon Valley Area School District both found written notes that threatened to harm other students. Both notes were written as graffiti in the bathrooms.

Penns Manor Area School District in nearby Indiana County was also being investigated yesterday after a 16-year-old girl made threatening comments and hand gestures during class.

In all of these cases, police came to investigate and decided that all of the threats were unfounded.

The schools return to a regular class schedule today.

Please remind your students that making threats is never a joke. Making this kind of remark, even if you don’t mean it, can cause widespread panic. Police officials and school officials will also be wasting valuable time and resources. Anyone caught making threats can face serious charges that will follow them for the rest of their life.
