Brockway, PA – A Brockway man will spend up to 20 years in state prison after he was found guilty to attempting to meet up for sexual encounters with three underage girls in Brookville.
In January of last year, Brookville Police got reports that 54-year-old Richard Tokarcik, Jr had been sending sexually explicit messages to three underage girls in the borough. Officers pretended in text messages to be a pair of 15- and 16-year-old sisters, Sam and Jamie. Tokarcik allegedly continued to send explicit messages to both of them and set up a time to meet with them.
Police took him into custody without incident. Tokarcik reportedly admitted that he knew the girls would have been underage and that he had made bad choices.
Tokarcik was found guilty in October 2017 on eight charges, including felony counts of criminal attempt of statutory sexual assault by someone more than 11 years older than the victim, communication with a minor for sexual abuse, and criminal solicitation of child pornography.
He was sentenced for all of the crimes separately, but his sentences will run concurrently. He will spend 10 to 20 years in state prison. Tokarcik received credit for 365 days’ time served.
Tokarcik has already been in prison for several years previously on burglary and theft charges.
