A Sykesville man pleaded guilty to burglary charges and was sentenced to jail. 28-year-old James Michaud will spend a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of nearly a year in Jefferson County Jail. He was also sentenced to 3 years of probation to be served afterwards, and he was ordered to refrain from alcoholic beverages.

19-year-old Felicity Fye of Sykesville was also charged with lying to police and claiming she did not know where Michaud was. When police searched Fye’s mother’s home where she was staying, they found Michaud hiding in the bathroom. Fye was accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition and will remain in the program for two years.
