Punxsutawney, PA – A Jefferson County man who is already facing felonies in three separate cases is now facing additional charges after police learned he allegedly used a pastor’s cell phone to view child pornography and arrange to meet with an underage girl.
19-year-old Daniel Jablonski of Punxsutawney reportedly solicited explicit photos and video from an underage girl in November of 2017.
The victims says Jablonski was aware of how old she was. They had intended to meet on Nov. 12, but Jablonski was arrested during a traffic stop that same day.
As the investigation continued, a local pastor told police that Jablonski was participating in a work-experience program at her church when he asked her if he could use her cell phone to supposedly contact his roommate.
The pastor allowed him to use the phone, but she later noticed messages on her phone from Jablonski’s Facebook Messenger. The messages, which dated back to Nov. 11, contained sexually explicit photos and videos.
With this new information, Jablonski is now facing additional felony charges of child pornography, sexual abuse and communication with a minor, and criminal use of a communication facility, plus a misdemeanor charge for corruption of minors.
Jablonski remain lodged in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 8.
He’s also facing felony charges in three other separate cases, including drug possession, burglary, sexual assault, and corruption of minors.
