Clarion, PA – A Clarion man is making his way through the court system for attempted homicide charges after a stabbing in Clarion in December.
40-year-old James Edwards is accused of stabbing a known but unnamed Clarion woman in the neck during a domestic dispute around 8:30 on Dec. 9. It happened at a home on Main Street in Clarion Borough.
The woman was flown to a Pittsburgh area trauma center for serious injuries. Edwards was also taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for suspected self-inflicted wounds to his neck and wrist. He was returned to Clarion County shortly afterward to be arraigned.
Edwards is facing charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, and resisting arrest. He remains in Clarion County jail on $250,000 bail. There’s no word yet on when his sentencing will be.
