Highland Township, Elk County, PA – A man was allegedly assaulted and shot in Elk County yesterday evening.

Police say it happened along Mosier Road in Highland Township around 5:30 or 6.

The victim, who remains unnamed at this time, was driving when an older Ford truck flashed their lights at him. The victim stopped, and that’s when he was assaulted by three men.

He heard a gunshot and later found a bullet hole through his jacket.

During the fight, the victim was cut with a knife or a razor on his forehead and on the ribs.

The investigation continues.

The suspects are thought to be driving an older Ford truck. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police in Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
