A Clearfield high schooler is accused of threatening to bring a weapon to class. Because he is under 18, the boy remains unnamed.
The Clearfield Area High School assistant principal alerted police on Thursday afternoon. The student allegedly was in the building and had made Facebook posts about bringing an AR-15 with him to the school. Several students told teachers and staff. Police came to the school and took the boy back to the police station, where he was then turned over to juvenile probation.
He has been charged with terroristic threats, risking or causing catastrophe, and disorderly conduct.
