Bell Township, PA – A building was destroyed late Tuesday night when a pellet stove caught fire in Mahaffey, though no one was injured.

62-year-old John Gearheart and his wife Isabel noticed their flue was on fire around 10:30 Tuesday night.

Officials say it was accidental, due to the pellet stove being too close to the wall. Damage is estimated at $40,000.
