Pennsylvania – Since last year, Pennsylvanians have been able to buy beer, wine, and malt liquor beverages at groceries and convenience stores, and surveys show that people are enjoying it.
Customers say that it’s more convenient to be able to do their shopping all in one place. They also say that the prices are generally the same at each store.
Wineries and breweries are pleased with the new laws because their wines and beers are being sold in more locations. However, sales at state liquor stores and beer distributors have decreased.
Economists say that distributors will have to change their strategy to include a larger selection or more specialty products that groceries and convenience stores don’t carry.
