DuBois, PA – DuBois will begin sparkling with the spirit of the holidays tonight. Brighten the Night is an annual tradition at the DuBois City Park, and this year there are even more surprises.
The event will start at the Parkside Community Center just before 6 tonight for some crafts and activities for kids. Then everyone will make their way to the City Park to watch the Christmas tree get lit up.
Julie Stewart, president of the Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group, says one of the most anticipated parts this year is the return of the Santa House.
The Santa House is made from a discontinued shed, which was donated by the Lowe’s in DuBois. Lowe’s store manager Johnathan Gribble says you won’t be any signs directly on the Santa House that say it was donated by Lowe’s because they wanted to whole thing to be about the community and Christmas.
And you can’t have the Santa House without Old Saint Nick himself. Bring the kids and celebrate tonight at 6 p.m. in the City Park as Santa makes his way into DuBois.
