Harrisburg, PA – Many places will be closed tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Although private stores and businesses can stay open if they want, government buildings must be closed to observe Thanksgiving.

The U.S. Postal Service won’t deliver mail tomorrow, and all government buildings, including driver’s license centers and liquor stores will be closed.

Although not required to by the government, most schools and banks will also be closed.

There will be no trash pickup, so check with your particular trash company to see when your pickup has been rescheduled.

However, other people don’t get to take Thanksgiving off to spend with their families. Police officers, firefighters, military members, EMTs, doctors, nurses, and other public servants will still be hard at work, protecting us and keeping us safe. If you see one of these people during your holiday, please thank them for the good work they do year-round.
