Northampton County, PA – A state trooper from the east side of Pennsylvania was shot during a traffic stop in Northampton County on Tuesday morning.

22-year-old Daniel Clary of Monroe County is charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and carrying a firearm without a license.

The trooper, who has not yet been publicly identified, was shot three times. He is in very critical but stable condition.

The driver fled the scene, but drove to the Easton Hospital with gunshot wounds.

There’s no word yet on why the man got so violent during a routine speeding ticket.
