Brookville, PA – A Brookville man is in jail after investigators say he was shipping large amounts of marijuana from California to Pennsylvania.

The Jefferson County Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania Attorney General, and the United State Postal Inspectors were all investigating 35-year-old Christopher Lee and suspicious packages that he would receive at his home in Brookville.

Vucko, a state police drug detecting dog, sniffed out the marijuana in one package at the end of October, and police later got a search warrant for Lee’s home.

Lee allegedly confessed that he paid his aunt, who would then pay her friend, Nikki Orona from Chatsworth, CA, for one pound of marijuana. Lee says his wife and kids knew nothing about the drug trafficking scheme and that he deals with three other men around the Brookville area.

This arrest comes more than a month after similar drug investigations. On Sept. 25, at least 30 drug dealers were arrested for shipping and selling 35 pounds of crystal meth that was sent from Arizona and California directly through the US Mail.

Lee’s preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 20. It’s still unclear how the two women in California will be held accountable.
