Clearfield, PA – Two schools were chosen as winners in District 2 of PennDOT’s Paint the Plow contest. Six schools across three counties participated in the contest, the second year it’s been offered in District 2.

St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Boalsburg was chosen as the Fan Favorite winner by people voting on PennDOT’s Facebook page.

The overall winner was chosen by a panel of judges, based on the theme “ice and snow, take it slow.” Harmony High School won the overall prize for their painting of a snail on a snowy, winter background.

All high schools through Clearfield, Centre, Juniata, and Mifflin counties could participate. The six schools that chose to participate in the Paint the Plow competition were Bald Eagle, Bellefonte, and St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy in Centre County, Clearfield and Harmony in Clearfield County, and East Juniata in Juniata County.

The plows will be mounted to a plow truck in the areas of the respective school districts for the upcoming winter season. District 2 plans to offer the contest across all nine counties in District 2 in 2018.

You can find out more about the contest at the PennDOT Facebook page.
