DuBois, PA – Your old coat could help someone stay warm this winter. Donate it to the Sunny 106 and Joe’s Cleaning and Alterations Coat Collection!

About 100 coats have already been donated this year,

Ted Fitzer, co-owner of Joe’s Cleaning and Alterations, says all you have to do is drop off the coat to his shop on West Long Avenue in DuBois. You don’t even have to worry if it’s not in perfect shape.

All of the coats will be cleaned, mended, and then sent to the DuBois Area Salvation Army to be distributed to people right here in our community.

As for the kind of coats, everything is accepted, but they’re especially hoping for kids’ coats this year.

They’ll continue to collect coats through the end of the year, but they hope to get more coats as soon as possible so they can begin to hand them out as the weather turns colder.
