Sykesville, PA – A Sykesville man was arrested for allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulting her.
Police were called out to the woman’s home in Reynoldsville on Oct. 19 when she said that 40-year-old Jeremy Sedor had broken into through the front door around 1 o’clock that morning.
She said she tried to hide in her 1-year-old son’s bedroom, but Sedor reportedly broke through that door as well. The door landed on the crib where the baby was lying.
The victim says that Sedor shoved her to the ground and began punching her in the face and slamming her head into the floor. She later went to Penn Highlands DuBois for head and neck injuries.
Sedor is facing felony burglary charges and misdemeanors for simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and damaging property.
He is in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $40,000 cash bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 22.
Court documents also show that Sedor is facing another felony charge for defiant trespass for an incident involving Reynoldsville Borough Police on Oct. 12. His preliminary hearing for that case will also be on Nov. 22.
