DuBois, PA – The former Penfield Elementary School might have a new owner. The DuBois Area School Board approved the sale of the former elementary school to David Leeland.

There’s no official word on what the old building might be used for.

The appraised value was listed at $100,000. The sale is still pending approval from the Clearfield County Court of Common Pleas.

In April, the board voted to close down three of the seven elementary schools within the district – Penfield, Sykesville, and Luthersburg elementary buildings – because of low enrollment and financial issues.
