Pennsylvania – Art and cultural groups can make us feel good, but do they help the economy? Americans for the Arts conducted a study in all 50 states that shows that encouraging art can also stimulate local profits.

The study found that in Pennsylvania in 2015, arts and cultural groups spent more than 1.7 million dollars to stage events, and audiences spent more than 1.6 million to experience arts and culture, for a total spending of more than 3.3 million dollars.

These events generated more than 100 thousand jobs in Pennsylvania and generated more than 178 thousand dollars in revenue for the state.
