Punxsutawney, PA – Punxsutawney is planning on making some major upgrades to the visitors’ center at Gobbler’s Knob, but they still need about $250,000 in donations to make it a reality.
Groundhog Club officials say they want Punxsutawney to be a year-round destination, not just on Feb. 2. They’re hoping to bring in more interactive experiences, including video screens and displays.
They’re about halfway to their $500,000 goal, which is funded only through donations.
They plan on starting construction next year and will hopefully have the project completed by Groundhog Day of 2019.
