Clearfield, PA – Clearfield County’s recycling program could disappear by 2020.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection plans on stopping grant funding that the recycling program relies on, beginning in January of 2020.

The Pennsylvania Senate has voted to reauthorize the grant money, but the bill is stuck in the House and could be voted down.

The Clearfield County Commissioners say that the county has been doing its part but they’re still at risk of losing the program. They encourage residents who see the value in the recycling program to contact their state officials and share their thoughts.
