Big Run, PA – One person had to be lifeflighted after a crash in Big Run on Monday afternoon.

23-year-old Heather Cook of Rossiter was driving on Main Street in Big Run around 4:30 p.m. when she drifted over the yellow line. She struck another vehicle head-on, driven by 81-year-old Marie Emberg of Punxsutawney.

Marie Emberg was taken to Punxsutawney Hospital with minor injuries, but her passenger, 81-year-old Edwin Emberg of Punxsutawney, was flown to Altoona Hospital with suspected serious head trauma.

Cook was arrested for driving a vehicle without a license and causing serious bodily injury. Although she was also charged for possession of drug paraphernalia, police do not say that she was under the influence during the crash.
