Clearfield, PA – Instead of going to trial, an Osceola Mills woman took a guilty plea agreement in the child abuse case of the then three-week-old “Baby Lily.”
23-year-old Stephanie McGuire was originally facing felony charges for aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children.
In taking the plea, McGuire has agreed to testify against her boyfriend, Aaron Mills, at his trial in December.
Her jail sentence will be completely up to the judge, and the commonwealth is asking for her to have supervision on probation and parole even after she is out of prison, meaning that she won’t be left alone with children for many years to come.
The boyfriend, 33-year-old Aaron Mills, is still facing more serious charges in the case.
The baby was assaulted in late February when she was just 3 weeks old while being cared for by Mills and McGuire.
Baby Lily had fractures in both femurs, a fractured rib, injuries on her face and in her mouth, severe diaper rash, and even injuries to her rectum.
We’ll continue following this case as Mills has his trial in December.
