DuBois, PA – If you see DuBois Central Catholic students dressed up a little strangely this week, don’t worry… They’re just showing off their school spirit, all the while raising money for the DuBois Area United Way.

The Student Council of DuBois Central Catholic High School once again will be staging United Way Day, a time for students and staff to lend their support for the local campaign. Central has kept this tradition alive since 1978 when the school’s first United Way Day was held.

Kathleen Kunkle, the Student Council advisor, says it’s a way to let the students have some fun while helping out their community.

This Friday, each class at DuBois Central Catholic will put together all of the money that they raised during the week and donate it to the United Way, which will then support local charities and organizations.

The students will spend part of their Friday enjoying a picnic lunch and plenty of games to celebrate all of their hard work.

It’s great to know that we have so many people, especially young people, in our community who are dedicated to helping others, so thank you.
