DuBois, PA – Two people accused of selling cocaine to an undercover officer have waived their rights to preliminary hearings.
21-year-old Nicholas McElwee of DuBois and 19-year-old Hayden Cockrell both face felony drug charges for the manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
McElwee’s bail was lowered from $25,000 monetary to $25,000 unsecured.
Cockrell remains lodged in the county jail in lieu of $25,000 monetary bail.
Police say that the undercover officer arranged to buy two grams of cocaine for $200 from Cockrell. McElwee was reportedly in the vehicle with her when they sold the drugs, and McElwee had suspected cocaine, marijuana and a scale in his backpack.
