In DuBois, the First United Methodist Church will give its annual blessing to emergency vehicles and their crews. If you’d like to be a part of it, meet outside in front of the church on West Long Avenue in DuBois today at 5:30 p.m. Church service will begin at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Chaplain Lieutenant Colonel Johnathan Bell, the Wing Chaplain of the 171st Air Refueling Wing, who provides spiritual care for more than 1,700 members of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.

Fire stations, emergency crews and police stations will all take a moment during their busy days to reflect on the victims of the attack and the rescuers who ran to the scene to help whoever they could.

Here at Sunny 106 and Connect FM, we’re proud to know we’re part of a community where we honor those who risked their lives on that day 16 years ago, as well as those who continue to risk their lives for us today.
