Philadelphia, PA – With so much of the United States debating which statues and monuments should remain and which ones seem to be celebrating racist parts of our history, a Philadelphia public art project has popped up.

It’s challenging artists to think of which person should have a monument in their honor but who currently doesn’t.

Artwork by 20 artists will be showing up this fall around the city in a public art and history project called Monument Lab.

Project organizers are asking people to join a conversation about history, memory and the future.
