Pennsylvania is getting a $8.3 million settlement after the U.S. Justice Department found that drug manufacturer Mylan Inc. overcharged taxpayers for its EpiPen emergency allergy treatment.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro says that Mylan knowingly profited from its misclassification of EpiPen, scamming Pennsylvanians and putting their profit above people’s health and safety. Because Mylan overcharged he Medicaid program in Pennsylvania, the money will be used to repay and replenish PA Medicaid.
