Reynoldsville, PA – A Reynoldsville man is accused of having drugs and a loaded handgun in his car, all while he was allegedly high on meth.

Officers found 27-year-old Jeffery Smallwood early in the morning on July 28 passed out in his car near the Lawrence Township Rec Park. He told officers he was spotting coyotes with a friend. However, police saw that he was impaired.

During the search, officers found five small bags and a larger pouch of suspected methamphetamine, a large container of suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded handgun.

Smallwood allegedly admitted to smoking meth the night before, driving with a suspended license, and carrying a friend’s gun without a permit to do so.

Smallwood is facing felony charges of carrying a firearm without a license, plus various drug charges. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing. His bail was changed from $50,000 monetary to unsecured. There’s no word yet on when he will be sentenced.
