Philadelphia – A man who was shot by police in Philadelphia was carrying a gun that was stolen from Clearfield.
39-year-old Anthony Middleton was walking through the Kensington neighborhood in Philadelphia on Aug. 19 when police saw that he was carrying a handgun.
When an officer told Middleton to drop the gun, he allegedly raised the weapon. The officer fired four times, striking the man in his leg and side.
He was taken to Temple University Hospital and is in stable condition.
The semi-automatic pistol was stolen from Clearfield in October.
No one else was injured, and Middleton faces gun charges and receiving stolen property.
