Harrisburg, PA – If you’re planning on buying a couple bottles of liquor for an end of summer party, you might want to do so before the end of the month. Prices are about to go up.

Pennsylvania’s state-owned liquor stores are using new power over pricing to increase the cost of 422 items at the end August.

Most of the increases will amount to $1 per bottle.

The increases are coming because of higher alcohol costs in neighboring states, which means that Pennsylvania feels comfortable charging more as well.
