DuBois, PA – The summer is coming to a close and, for a lot of kids, that means feeling a little anxious about going back to school. But here’s one thing that kids should never have to worry about… having the school supplies they need for the new year.

If you haven’t donated to the Stuff the Bus school supply drive at the DuBois Mall, now is the time to do so.

Kristen Peterson from the Gourmet Kitchen is one of the organizers. She explains some of the things you can bring.

Students need items like pencils, pens, erasers, tablets, notebooks, folders, book coveres, highlighters and pencil cases.

They are also collecting items for teachers, such as highlighters, tissues, hand sanitizer, santizing wipes, crayons, pens and pencils.

You can make your donation inside the mall. Many stores have decorated boxes to look like school buses, and you can place your donations inside.

You can make your donation until tomorrow afternoon, so head to the DuBois Mall soon! Then on Wednesday evening, from 5 until 8 p.m., you’re invited to help stuff backpacks full of the donated supplies and enjoy some music.

All the finished backpacks will stay local and will remain in the DuBois Area School District. You’ll be helping one of your neighborhood kids start off the school year on the right foot, so drop off your donation at the DuBois Mall!
