Clearfield, PA – A Philipsburg teen pleaded guilty to having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

19-year-old Michael Bickle was sentenced to 6 months to 2 years in state prison for charges of statutory sexual assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors.

An assessment showed that Bickle was not considered to be a sexually violent predator, but he will have to register under Megan’s Law for 25 years.

It dates back to an incident on Aug. 26 in Osceola Mills. The victim’s mother reported the rape to police. The girl had red marks on her neck and chest.

The mother said that Bickle was highly manipulative and had known the girl for less than 20 days before he had convinced her to have sex with him.

Although Bickle’s defense argued that he hadn’t had any prior charges and that he should only be sent to county jail, the judge ruled that state prison would be more appropriate.
