DuBois, PA – The Air Force has a new face in DuBois. If you walk past the Air Force office at the DuBois Mall, you’ll see Staff Sergeant Alfonso Martinez, who has been assigned as the area’s new recruiter.

As an Air Force recruiter, Martinez is responsible for inspiring, engaging and recruiting future airmen to deliver airpower for America in the DuBois area.

The Air Force office is still at the same location, 5522 Shaffer Road, in the DuBois Mall.

So if you see Staff Sergeant Martinez at the Air Force office at the DuBois Mall, give him a wave or stop by to chat. He says there’s never any pressure to join, and he hopes that people will come in to ask questions and talk.

Even if you’re not personally interested in the Air Force, you might know someone else who is considering it.

Martinez says  he joined the Air Force later than most people do, at the age of 27. He says it completely changed his life for the better.

Prior to his assignment in DuBois, he was assigned to Buckley AFB in Colorado as a Transportation Counselor. He’ll be in DuBois for 3 years.
