Brookville, PA – Charges have been held for court against a Brookville man who allegedly had a marijuana grow operation inside of his home.

Officers had originally suspected 57-year-old Jay Thrush of Brookville of driving under the influence of controlled substances during a traffic stop. Then on June 30, they got a search warrant for his home along Route 36 near Brookville.

Although police originally did not say how much marijuana was being grown in the home, they now say that they found two marijuana plants, a lighting system, a bag of seeds, two containers of marijuana and other related paraphernalia.

Thrush faces two felony counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. He is also being charged with misdemeanor counts of use or possession of drug paraphernalia and intentional possession of a controlled substance by someone who is not registered.

Thrush remains in the Jefferson County Jail after not being able to post $25,000 bail. There’s no word yet on when Thrush’s next court date will be.
