Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania State budget has officially become law, even though Gov. Tom Wolf have neglected to sign it.
The bill automatically lapses into law if the governor doesn’t make a decision on it. The $32 billion budget still has a $3 billion shortfall with no plans on how to make ends meet.
Two potential ways of gaining revenue would be to relax laws involving gambling and the sale of alcohol, though no decision has been made yet.
Although many of the lawmakers admit that it’s not a perfect budget, they say it’s at least a good compromise. They agree that it’s better than the 9-month budget impasse situation that started in 2015.
