Clearfield County, PA – If you drive through DuBois or Clearfield at night, expect some nighttime road work over the next couple of weeks. The road crews will be working from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. at a few locations.

  • On July 10, 11 and 12, milling will take place on Route 153 (North Front Street/North Second Street) in Downtown Clearfield and a small section toward the Route 879 intersection.
  • Then on July 13 and 14, crews will be milling on Brady Street in Downtown DuBois.
  • On July 17 and 18, paving will take place at the same locations in Downtown Clearfield that had been milled the previous week on Route 153.

During the overnight road work, an alternating traffic pattern will be in place, controlled by flaggers in the roadway. You can expect some short travel delays. Keep an eye out for vehicles that are moving slowly or are stopped when going through the work zones.

You should be especially cautious in work zones. Don’t allow yourself to become distracted while you’re driving. Obey posted speed limits, and always buckle up.
